Hi Danny, I’m hanging in there as best I can and have been better. Just working my way through a tough time. Been going on a few years now, this past year has been particularly hard — won’t lie. All my boys are big—all taller than me. — Aidan, 24 — Declan, 21 — Darragh, 18 just graduated from Thacher Other than my boys I’m looking for work. My industry is shit right now (Software Design, Product, UX/UI) and its nearly impossible to get an interview. Fighting against ageism. No way to prove it but I know its there. Over 900 applications, 5 interviews, 14 months. Not much else to say about the work hunt. I’m currently living in my car and have been for the past year. I’ve been working my way through a large major depressive disorder episode — go figure? not under much stress, right 😊 It took months but finally feel like I’ve got the right combination for the moment. Liz wants a divorce, and I’m DIYing it. I went to a webinar the county puts on and know what I need to do for paperwork. She wants it, but won’t file the paperwork—I think because she’s going to have to support me in some way. Anyhow, I’ve felt pretty rejected by just about everyone and everything — at least that’s the perception that dominates the mind. This causes a feeling of dissociation to also dominate for me where I am out in society, but I’m just an observer watching people live their lives and time go by while mine stands still when in that headspace. I meditate like a MOFO and it’s helped immensely in helping me move through things and heal. I still meditate ever day. I’ve rewritten and redesigned all my stuff, but no takers. So while I am still applying for gigs, I am also trying to create my own gig. I’m working with 3 others who compliment my skillset and the idea is a software creation consultancy. Anyhow, that’s a gigantic text message I just cranked out. You got the big picture on me. Every day feels the same now. How about you? You retire yet?

Things are good. I have not retired. Probably another 10 years. I have been through some very rough times in my life. I went through a brutal divorce and had to fight to keep 50% custody of my kids. Perhaps we can set up some time to talk live after July 14th when I return home. Hang in there. I am glad that center yourself is helping you. All of this shall pass! I know it. I am a man of faith and I will pray for you as well. Talk soon!
